Drawing Office (Printed Diagrams)

The Society's Drawing Office has built up a superb collection of layout drawings in the general style of the diagrams traditionally displayed above the lever frame in a mechanical signal box. These have been carefully hand drawn by a number of our members using techniques similar to those found in professional design and drawing offices. The collection started before the Society was inaugurated and is still being added to this day.

On each diagram the signals and point connections are numbered and for a few locations details of locking are also available.

A list of all diagrams currently available can be inspected on our main web site. The lists are grouped by the “Big Four” as they existed between 1923 and 1947. Follow the appropriate link to view the listings:

Important. When you order any of these drawings please make sure you also add one of the postal options to your order. If you don't do this, processing your order may well be delayed. You only need to do this once for each order no matter how many diagrams you have put in the shopping basket.
