Signalling Record Society
Membership Subscription Rates
Great !!. You've decided to join us.
If you join us on or before 31st August your period of membership runs from 1st January to 31st December of the calendar year in which you joined and you will be entitled to copies of all that year's issues of the Signalling Record. Where they have been published before you joined they will be sent as 'back issues'.
For members joining on or after the 1st September, membership runs from the date both your application and payment are accepted through to 31st December of the following calendar year. However, you will not be sent copies of the Signalling Record published prior to your joining.
Annual Subscription Rate UK
Our current annual subscription rate is £25 and this applies to members who provide us with a UK postal address to which we can send your initial documentation and your copies of the Signalling Record. Our definition of what comprises a UK address for this purpose is that published from time to time by Royal Mail.
If you have a UK sterling Bank Account
You can either send us a cheque in payment or, if it is more convenient or you don't have a cheque book, pay electronically. If you have on-line access to your bank account and can send electronic payments then your bank is a party to the electronic payments system often referred to as BACS. Any charges you incur for issuing cheques or electronic payments from your account are entirely dependent on the account arrangements you have with your bank. Click the button link below to start by filling in the application form.
If you don't have a suitable Bank Account
We also accept payment via PayPal. A PayPal account is convenient but not essential as PayPal can process credit and debit cards without requiring you to set up an account with them. Click the button link below to start by filling in the application form.
Annual Subscription Rate International
Our current subscription rate for members who require their documentation and Signalling Record sent outside the UK postal area defined by Royal Mail regardless of where that is in the world is £30.
If you fall into this category then PayPal is your only practicable option although you could ask you bank for a suitable sterling cheque. The latter option is likely to be cumbersome and expensive! Our subscription rate is in GBP (pounds Sterling) and PayPal will automatically translate this into your local currency based on the address associated with your PayPal account. Be aware that the conversion rate may fluctuate.
How Long Before I Hear From You?
We will process your application as quickly as possible, usually within two weeks but, as our officers are all unpaid volunteers and sometimes take holidays, response times may sometimes seem a little longer than you might expect.
